This season, students will explore the fascinating martial arts styles of the Snake and the Dragon. The Snake teaches quick, whip-like strikes and lighting-fast reactions, while the Dragon inspires fluid, continuous circular movements that promote balance, coordination, and graceful movement. Together, these animal styles help children develop patience, flexibility, focus, confidence, and body awareness in a fun and engaging way.Ninja Ninja Learns- Master of the Sword (Foam Weapons- Ages 4-9)Step into the world of the Ninja and discover the art of the (foam) sword! Students will learn exciting sword skills including striking, blocking, footwork, combinations, and control through fun target drills, interactive games, and creative challenges. This class helps build coordination, focus, confidence, and body awareness while encouraging teamwork and respect. Best of all, every activity is non-contact and non-competitive, allowing every child to learn in a safe, supportive environment while mastering the legendary (foam) sword.NOTIFICATIONS:Due to facility use commitments, the class will be moved to a different room or area of the park (Recreation Park) when needed. This season, students will explore the fascinating martial arts styles of the Snake and the Dragon. The Snake teaches quick, whip-like strikes and lighting-fast reactions, while the Dragon inspires fluid, continuous circular movements that promote balance, coordination, and graceful movement. Together, these animal styles help children develop patience, flexibility, focus, confidence, and body awareness in a fun and engaging way.Ninja Ninja Learns- Master of the Sword (Foam Weapons- Ages 4-9)Step into the world of the Ninja and discover the art of the (foam) sword! Students will learn exciting sword skills including striking, blocking, footwork, combinations, and control through fun target drills, interactive games, and creative challenges. This class helps build coordination, focus, confidence, and body awareness while encouraging teamwork and respect. Best of all, every activity is non-contact and non-competitive, allowing every child to learn in a safe, supportive environment while mastering the legendary (foam) sword.NOTIFICATIONS:Due to facility use commitments, the class will be moved to a different room or area of the park (Recreation Park) when needed. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Class location changes will be communicated via email and/or text message through MyRec.Cancellation notifications are sent out through MyRec at least one (1) day before the actual class meeting date.
