Teens for a Better Community (TBC) promotes leadership and civic engagements through workshops and opportunities within the community, while earning volunteer hours.
Youth in the TBC program can earn service hours through:
- Monthly Workshops
- Volunteer Opportunities at City Events
- Volunteer Opportunities through Recreation Programs
Youth are required to be:
- 14-17 years of age
- Currently enrolled as a high school student
Youth must commit to:
- Attending a minimum of 3 monthly meetings per semester
- And attending minimum of 1 city-wide event per semester
- or completing 8.5 hours in a recreation program
As an option, youth can do more hours as needed to complete their High School requirements.
