Art Supplies
Universe Gives is an organization focused on using art and rhythm to improve the lives of children and adults through the creative process. Academic Art is a 10-week course tailored for youth ages 7-14, offering a comprehensive curriculum designed to enhance the participant's artistic abilities.

Participants will be assessed by the instructor on the first day of session and assigned a class day:

Level 1: Mondays 4:00-5:30pm
Level 2: Wednesdays 4:00-5:30pm


Week 1. Drawing in perspective (Boxes, Buildings, Vehicles, Furniture)
Week 2. Drawing geometric shapes (Cube, Cone, Sphere, Cylinder, Pyramid)
Week 3. Drawing and painting animals
Week 4. Drawing people (Proportions of body and face)
Week 5. Designing Characters
Week 6. Still Life Composition #1 (Drawing and Painting)
Week 7. Character Illustration (Mixed Media)
Week 8. Still Life Composition #2 (Drawing and Painting)
Week 9. Landscape from a reference (Watercolors)
Week 10. Drawing and painting from Nature (Outdoors)

  • The instructor will distribute the art material.
